PORTFOLIOS > Altered Environment

The "Hayhouse" series is a group of paintings celebrating Claude Monet's haystacks. In Colorado, ranchers stack square bales forming what they refer to as "hayhouses". As winter progresses these haystacks change form and dominate the snow covered fields where the livestock wait through cold nights.

Here the "Hayhouse" stands in stark contrast to the antenna-like shape which is a raised surface on the canvas.
